Durable knife
This got to be one of my best folding knife I own, very sturdy, durable, and sharp right off bat. Although, it was quite tough to unfold with one hand but if you keep flipping it in motion, it will help loosen it up and now i can open and close with ease. Other than that, it's a good knife that meets my EDC needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfectly Straight-Forward and Quality Knife
Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2015
First off, my goal here is to write a very honest and unbiased review of this knife. Hopefully I can convey my positive experience to other people like me who are very particular when it comes to overall quality, material durability, smart- designs, and reliability, whether the knife is 30~ or 100+ dollars.

I believe SOG absolutely killed it with this specific knife. While not the craziest knife collector by any means, I'm a very mechanically/machine inclined person and can certainely appreciate very smart and efficient manufacturing. My experience goes back to many mainstream knife companies, mostly in the 3"-4" blade, folder, EDC type, $30-50 range. This one by far, for the price is just insane. Every single detail of this knife is honestly suprising. Not because it's overly packed with micro-level touch-ups, but because it's so straightforward/simple in design combined with strength and no non-sense thinking.

Knife is extremely durable, no play, great design features. Blade material is good, length is appropriate, G10 Scaling makes knife very grippy, the large flared finger guard before blade starts is extremely important and well appreciated (seen knives without them cut their wielders fingers in fights as they slip), steel lined core casing provides extremely strong interface w/o any flex, the many small and large grip serrations throughout are very tough and pronounced, no safety issues/complaints at all, lockback is beyond solid and assuring, coating is good, ergonomics are decent. Quality-wise, there is no slop at all which is awesome to see, plus blade sits centered. Blade is hair shaving sharp from the start.

Only thing pointing out (as with many lockback knives) is that it does take some time to break in and get the action to smooth out. To me, I don't mind the weight, especially when the Mfr. puts more effort into other aspects of the knife. I do like the weight and balance.

Overall a perfect knife in my honest opinion, and for the price point, no frills, but that is obvious. One would be extremely hard pressed to find a more competent knife at this level that performs at a high degree. Just simply put, this knife has all the right (straight forward) characteristics. If you want a reasonably priced knife with good amounts of quality, that attenuates grip and solid lockback design, this is it right here.
