Cons: assembly instructions wasn't very clear or detailed, not as sturdy as expected.
1. The otherwise unclear instructions state unequivocally (and with underlining): "When the upper tubes are installed correctly, the end of the right tube will line up with the end of the left tube." It then repeats the same statement (again with underlining) about the lower tubes (the "feet" of the stand). Indeed, I was able to line up the two lower tubes because the holes were drilled lower (or higher) in one lower tube than the other, thus compensating for the intervening flat bars of the "X" framework. By contrast, the two holes in the two upper tubes (holding the keyboard) were less "staggered" than those in the lower bars, requiring some experimentation before they lined up).
2. Once the bars are screwed in properly, the stand is tight enough to offer convenient, one-piece traveling and strong support. I'm finding it a bit bothersome to fold the stand, only to discover a "rogue" cross-bar extending straight out from one side. The solution is to move the middle crossbar screw to a hole that's several holes in from the outer-most hole. Then the stand will close without any "spill-over" of the crossbar screw.
3. Last, the stand disappointed me when I extended the cross-bar fully to see how low the stand would go. I'm 6-feet tall, and I'm afraid it was NOT quite low enough to match my arm position, even with the screw moved to the most extended position. It would work fine with a piano bench, which I no longer have space to carry. To accommodate a player using an ordinary house chair, the stand would need to go lower, esp. since most pianists prefer to have the keys closer to their naval than at chest level. (Maybe an extension piece from an erector set could be inserted to widen the crossbar and lower the stand?)
Final word of caution: This stand can be more "precarious" than some, since the strength of the whole framework depends on the tightness of the screw in the middle of the cross-bar. Be sure to play with the knob of the screw toward--not away from--the player. And check it periodically for tightness--or else! (You could have a short night, along with a shorted-out board.)
However, if you switch around the handles and the feet, and flip it on its side so the adjustable rack is on the side instead of in the middle, you can set it to a MUCH better range of heights. It's still completely sturdy, and will at the very least definitely support most midi controllers. I've added some photos for reference.

I would only use this stand with a lightweight Casio keyboard and wouldn't move it around the house too much. When I upgraded to a heavier Roland keyboard I had to get a double- X stand which is much sturdier. I would recommend just going for a double-X stand first though.

Height can be adjusted, and stand is sturdy. I guess it would be possible to knock it over, but you’d have to be a bit careless.
