Customers are mixed about the sturdiness of the tent. Some mention it seems sturdy, durable in the wind, and pleased with the quality. However, others say that it's easy to tear and poorly made. The seams started separating during indoor test setup, and both poles snapped the first day.
"...All of the connections are holding up well and I have no holes. I can put it up in about 5-10 minutes at a casual pace...." Read more
"...tent was much heavier and larger than I was expecting, but the cot was VERY sturdy which is what adds to the weight...." Read more

Customers are mixed about the comfort of the tent. Some mention that it's very comfortable and supportive, while others say that it is not built for comfort or to last. The middle bar between the cots is uncomfortable, making it hard to sleep in it. The cot canvas is very lax, making more of a hammock feel, and it needs mega cushioning.

"...Overall, it's a decent tent and won't leave you wet in a storm." Read more
Customers are mixed about the size of the tent. Some mention that it's roomy, while others say that it takes up too much room and is difficult to assemble. The length is fairly roomy for two people, plus two bags and a shotgun. However, some say that the tent is not very big and difficult to sleep in it because of the center divider. The poles seem small and easily to break.
"...I am a little larger than average and I was incredibly pleased with how roomy and comfortable the item is...." Read more
"...Very small entry, you have to duck in half to get in, you cant sit on the edge without discomfort...." Read more
"...The actual space inside the tent is quite generous. I have slept in a couple other 2 person tents that were a bit smaller...." Read more
"...door way is a bit small/narrow but could be ok. will definitely need to be reinforced with sleeping mats to be fully comfortable." Read more
Customers are mixed about the dryness of the tent. Some mention that it stays perfectly dry with a tarp over the top, while others say that it tends to get condensation inside, even with the vents open. The dew gets you wet in the am through the bottom, and the walls and sleeping bags were damp in the morning. It takes up too much room and is not waterproof.

Customers are not satisfied with the weight of the tent. They mention that it's heavier than they expected and bulky to pack around.

We also has the "good fortune" of using this during a very rainy night. We had a rain system come through and I was dry and comfortable for the entire night. I will say that you do get a fair amount of condensation which I don't think much can be done about that. I will also add that being off the ground was great. It didn't get too cold because we were not on the ground and the chance of rain getting into the tent from the ground is non existent.
If I had any negatives I would say the bag that it comes in is canvass and it will be easy to tear if you are not careful. It does weight around 46 pounds, so it is not what you would call light weight. But it is well worth the trade off for what you get back.
As I use this product I will offer additional comments on performance.
As of now, I highly recommend this item.
UPDATE: 11/18/20019
As promised, I am writing a follow-up. This tent has exceeded my expectations! I am impressed with the durability. It's been nearly a year since I purchased the tent and have been out at least 6-7 times. All of the connections are holding up well and I have no holes. I can put it up in about 5-10 minutes at a casual pace.
My most recent use was about 10 days ago where the temperature got down to the low 30's. This was the coldest use yet and it was great. Being off the ground was great. The Rain Fly actually envelopes the entire tent and provided an extra layer of thickness to offer a little more warmth. Very pleasant sleep!
Comfort: Very nice. I've read where some people want to put a pad but I've not felt the need. I do put down a thin blanket to offer a little barrier for the cold coming off the ground and I just like a sheet or blanket. The big test was getting my wife back out. She stopped camping when our son moved up to the Boy Scouts from the Cub Scouts a few years ago and I finally got her out on a Halloween event and it was the first time I used both sides of this double tent and it worked great! It was a cold and rainy event and we were very comfortable and dry being off the ground....When I'm not using both sides it allows me a place to store items that I don't want out side....
Biggest Advice For Care: Take your time setting it up and always air it out when you get home to get rid of the dirt and condensation before folding it up and you will have a great product that should last you for a lot time.
A funny comment to those that make the purchase: Expect to get a LOT of questions from fellow campers. Every trip I go on, people who have never see my cot-tent approach me and are both fascinated and impressed. They want to now how I like it, how much it cost and where to get one.
While it's great for any age, if you are a little older like me (mid-50's) and the knees don't work quite as good and have to make frequent bathroom visits at night this is a fantastic investment. It's much easier getting in and out rather than getting up from the ground!
I wouldn't plan on doing a lot of cuddling with my tentmate in this tent as the support bar on the cot goes down the middle and would be quite uncomfortable to lay on. The actual space inside the tent is quite generous. I have slept in a couple other 2 person tents that were a bit smaller.
The tent itself seems decent, I guess time will tell as to how it holds up in rain.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Stay tuned for future additions to this review as I can't wait to go out at camp in this tent!
The only drawback is its inability to handle cooler weather. A front came through during the night, no rain, but the temp dropped to the 40s plus strong winds, it was easily down to the 30s that night and the bottom of the cot was freezing through our sleeping bags which were rated for 20 degrees. I know it's a three season and not a winter tent, but if your camping and its cool or windy, bring a heavy sleeping mat or comforter to use as bedding to insulate your bottom. After doing that we slept like babies and the cold didn't bother us a bit.
Another smaller issue was the large mesh vent at the top, its probably one the largest ones I've seen on a tent of its size, and you'd expect it for vent out any excess heat/moisture, but it didn't. We woke up in the morning and the walls and sleeping bags were damp, nothing new there, as it always seems to happen. But after sitting in the sun with the door flaps tied back for a few hours, it wasn't ant drier. Ended up having to use a towel to wipe everything down so we could pack up.
This item can be returned in its original condition for a full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt. You may receive a partial or no refund on used, damaged or materially
This is a lie, the tent came defected, and “kart it” will not honor the return. They gave Amazon and myself numerous excuses. Now i have to pay for return shipping on a defective tent. Sandwich bags have thicker material than this tent. Poles wont line up with holes in the cot part. Sleeping area is a tight sagging spot, with a huge divider in the middle. Very small entry, you have to duck in half to get in, you cant sit on the edge without discomfort. This tents zippers are cheap plastic ones that bind up easily, the material is too tight for them to zip up, unless you have vise grips clamped to them.
The originals were far better than the junk that has been china-ised, and sold now. I will be investing in a canvas tent.

UPDATE: After using this tent on a few camping trips it is obvious that the cot stretches with use while the tent does not. The seam that fastens the side of the tent to the cot near where you enter is coming unraveled. Typically, I enter out of the one side. I suggest undoing the Velcro that fastens the sides to prevent tearing. This is a minor concern, but one you're sure to experience. You should have no fears of losing the tent by undoing the Velcro on the side you enter/exit from. Also, the wind going under the cot is like ice going down your spine. I bought memory foam so that the wind didn't freeze me on cold nights. Problem solved.
Pro:
- The tent itself is well made and of quality material. The legs seems to be very sturdy and have a nice weight to them.
- It's bigger than I expected (I'm 5"9, 150 lb). Very roomy for me and my 40 lb puppy (who's probably going to grow up to be 60-80lb).
- It folds up nicely and should fit into my Nissan Rogue. But if you have a smaller car, it might not fit.
- It's really comfortable and probably warmer. It's like sleeping on a hammock. Great for folks with back problems (like me) or just don't sleep well on the ground.
- It's a good height off the ground so should keep water and (hopefully) ground crawlers away.
Con:
- The tent was hard to set up (maybe it's just because I have weak arms), but it took me a good 20 minutes because the cot kept on folding back onto itself, and the rods were weird and the hooks won't go on it. Hopefully it'll be easier in the future after I practice a few times.
- The cot stretch a lot when you are inside so make the doors hard to zip up. Not sure if it'll cause rips or whatnot but I guess only time will tell.
- It's for car camping only. It weights about 45lb. I can carry it fine but probably not for any long distance.
- The carrying bag is kind of flimsy. Once I took it down, I can't fit the tent/rain flyer bag back into the carrying case (might need to get a compression bag or just carry them separately).
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase, especially since I got it on sale. Camping season can not come fast enough!
