I do not understand why the instructions are printed on black paper and not like the regular Lego instruction books. It would be easier to see, especially the black pieces. It would also be easier to keep the book open to the page that you are on. I have found a way to keep the book open but using a large binder clip but you have to keep moving it as you progress.
I have also noticed that the Architecture sets are more reliable in having all the pieces included in the sets. I really like that!
This set was purchased as a Christmas present from my boys for the Uncle that always helped build their lego sets for them from Christmas's past. They used to love having his help, but in the last 2 years they have come to enjoy the building part as much as the playing part. To keep everyone happy and busy this Christmas, we bought this set to provide an engaging challenge for their Uncle (...since he won't be allowed to help with their new sets).
I have not seen the set in built form yet, but it looks like the 'Architecture' series is where jigsaw puzzles meet Legos. The box is surprisingly small and surprisingly heavy. The pieces look to be pretty small too. It should last my brother-in-law a while in putting together and should make a nice piece for starting a collection.
