Customers like the connectivity of the network interface controller adapter. They mention that it delivers enough Ethernet to exceed WiFi, handles two connections with 100 mbit speed in both directions at the same time, and is a great way to extend their network. It provides plenty of bandwidth, making it easier to expand your WiFi network by plugging in a second router to one of these. The mesh network is good for some basic operations, such as surfing the web, checking email, and keeping track of your finances. However, the adapters have some drawbacks, including the fact that they can't support 5GHz.

However, others say that the connection isn't as fast as the router itself and that they experience lagging issues loading webpages and freezes while viewing.

    540 customers mention275 positive265 negative

Customers are mixed about the signal strength of the network interface controller adapter. Some mention that it provides a steady and reliable connection, while others say that it has poor signal and is not a magical fix for bad WiFi.

"...So the set up is easy. The connection is VERY solid. They are a great way to deal with dead spots. But the speed is not impressive...." Read more

This NetGear Powerline Adapter is the real deal!
    5 Stars
This NetGear Powerline Adapter is the real deal!
I needed to hook my home security system into our WIFI router which was in a different room and over 50" away from my office. At first, I thought I might have to drill holes through my walls, floors, and ceilings to run about 50" of internet cable from the router to the security system. Then I got the idea to do an internet search to see if perhaps there might be a wireless solution. That is what led me to this product with a brand name I trust and have used for years. I was skeptical but I decided to order one and try it. Well, I am very pleased to say this works every bit as good as they claim. I get a very strong signal to my office, and I can run a short internet cable from the adapter and right up to my Security center. This very simple to setup! I do highly recommend this product!
