Product Description
Product Details
An intelligent cooling fan system designed to be mounted onto a wide range of 19-inch racks requiring quiet or high airflow cooling. Maintaining an optimal temperature for rack-mount equipment prevents overheating, ensures constant performance, and extends their lifespan. The system is housed in a solid aluminum construction that takes up two rack units of space (2U), anodized with a light-brush finish for a high-end look. This model holds three custom-engineered dual-ball bearing fans rated at 67,000 hours, and certified by CE and RoHS. The fans are set to exhaust out heated air and should be positioned near the top of the rack. This complete kit includes the 2U fan unit, corded 6-ft thermal probe, user’s manual, rack mount screws, cage nuts, and corded 6-ft power supply.
Intelligent CoolingProgramming includes an easy-to-use thermostat and a SMART mode that automatically adjusts the fan’s speed to react to varying temperatures. Additional features include alarm alerts, fan failure triggers, power savings setting, display lock, and backup memory. Six fan speeds are available with three screen brightness settings. Behind the unit is an expansion port that can control another CLOUDPLATE unit or an AC Infinity rack roof dual-fan kit.
Performance and ApplicationsThis 2U rack cooling system features programmable fan speed control, enabling it to work for a wide range of rack mount applications. With a noise level that can reach 10 dBA, the fan system can be used for environments where low or minimal noise is required such as home theater, studio, DJ, and audio video racks. A max airflow rating of 220 CFM will provide sufficient cooling to server, network, IT and equipment racks requiring high airflow. This fan system has dual-ball bearings, allowing it to be mounted horizontally or vertically.

The fan is relatively quiet during it's full-speed operation. The noise wouldn't be objectionable in most home theater applications, particularly if it was inside a cabinet.
You can set the light for the LED panel to either stay on all of the time, or to just light up for a few seconds, then turn off automatically.. Personally, I like to see the lights all of the time, so I set it to come on. I have three of them in a rack, and it looks impressive with all three lit up.
The air blows out the front. There doesn't seem to be a way to switch directions of the fan electrically. You might be able to take it apart and reverse the fans-- I haven't tried it. It's put together with screws, not rivets, which is good. In some applications, it works better to have the fan blowing in, but it seems to work well blowing out in most situations.
So far, I have nothing bad to say about it. It does what it says it does, and it looks nice. I just installed it, so I can't tell how well it will hold up for the long term. It seems like a quality product, however, and I expect it will last for several years without failure. Because it's assembled with screws instead of rivets, the fans can probably be replaced if they eventually wear out.
Air flow is BACK TO FRONT. That's not even the issue... the issue is that this is not stated in these terms anywhere. The closest allusion to this configuration is as statement that the fans exhaust hot air. One must then consider what that must mean, considering the location of the fans. A reverse mode would be nice, but high-flow low-noise fans like this are almost universally designed with directional blades... so it isn't surprising that no such feature is included.
I'll have to disassemble the entire unit and re-mount the fans in order to have the airflow required for my application. In my case, all other components in the system have front-to-back airflow, and the rack enclosure has an exhaust fan on the back side. Having this unit move air in the other direction would be counter-productive.
Again, the T7 is great in all respects... just make sure BACK TO FRONT is what you want, or be prepared to make some modifications.
Great looking, easy to program, seems like a quality piece of equipment. Unfortunately, this has the loudest fan noise of anything in my rack; very distracting. I have it set on the lowest speed so the sound is only annoying when there is other sounds going on. In a quiet room, it is distracting and bothersome. Turn the fan speed up from 1 to 2-6 and the whining noise noise is very irritating. AC Infinity has a proprietary connector setup which makes replacing the noisy fans with Noctua very difficult. Sure, replacing the fans will void the warranty, but it's either that or chuck it out. Currently looking for a replacement before performing surgery on the device.

Had two stand alone fridges that I decided to encase in the wall, didn't want to buy the expensive models built for this application. As expected, they were overheating and not cooling well. Designed a duct so the fans would pull the hot air from the back and let enough clearance underneath the fridges to allow fresh air to go in.
It works very well, this fan rack keeps the temperature of that area same as ambient.
It shows well, it is nicely built. I am currently using the smart function with 1 C buffer and it rarely goes past 40% of the fan speed at which it is still very quiet. Max speed is a bit loud but not much.
A bit more expensive than what I wanted to spend but totally worth it.

First, mine came with an euro plug (not UK) even though I've bought AC Infinity stuff in the past and that's come with a UK plug. Initially I just bought an euro to UK adapter as it seemed the neatest solution.
Second, the fans are just TOO LOUD. Far too loud. Excessively so. I'm not sure how this has passed without much comment on other reviews. Even on level 1 (the lowest) you'd not want this in a domestic environment.
I purchased one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072F1X1WD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and set it to 6V. This is enough to power the LCD display but slow the fans right down. Now it works great. Nice and quiet and a good range of usable speeds.
Key features of the AC Infinity T7 are the full metal enclose, no plastic. There is a control for thermostat, and fan speed settings plus mode setting! The fans are all dual ball bearing quality units. The fan came with a thermal probe, 3 sets of fasteners, cable manager and the power adapter
Custom settings of the temperature controller can be tailored to almost any requirement. The back-light of the controller display can be set to be on constantly or a ten second shut off which I liked! The buffer variation in "Auto Mode" and "Smart Mode" can be set to 2° or 4° so that the fan will start or stop in relation to the set point. A choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius is capable.
Operation is simple. The "Set Point" on the control screen is a user select function for what temperature (of your equipment) you want the fan to control at. The "Probe" temperature on the screen is the temperature in the cabinet or in my case, air at the top of the receiver. "Mode Select" is for either Auto, Smart, On or Off. It also controls the fan speed if desired to low, medium or high. Can't ask for more than that!!!
I highly recommend this line of fans for quality and performance!
