Fantastic mini reflex rds for pistols. Hold zero perfectly for me after 100 rounds.Great fov, easy target acquisition, the top loading battery is a must have for these. As no one wants to remove their optic to replace a junk battery then have to re zero. The brightness settings are great I find even at the lowest its more than bright enough. It also has an automatic brightness with ambient sensors so thats cool. But I stay at lvl 1 brightness.Super easy installation, I would definitely recommend getting some red vibratite vrs the blue lock stuff much better in my opinion.I see these are out of stock now but if you can get one, do it. You won't regret it.It is mounted on my Sig sauer p320 subcompact.I did need to buy an adapter plate from outerimpact (go there for all your mounting plate needs great company and they always respond to emails in hours not days but I digress lol)To remove the rear iron sight(it is a dovetail style) off a sig you just need a brass punch a mallet and a bench vice and some good ole fashion brute force lol dont be afraid to smack that shit you will hurt yourself before you hurt the slide lol(but you can scuff it) just make sure you are hitting it on the left side pushing it out the right side. Otherwise you may damage the slide. Not sure but that's just the way the come out, left to right.I hope this was helpful to someone, took me days to gather all that info. When I initially undertook this project. Thanks Amazon, and thanks vortex for the awesome optics and cool hat haha

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on my Ruger Mark III 22/45 Lite!!!
Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2016
First review for any product on Amazon, and I'm a long time customer. I just had to say something about this product and how pleased I am with it. After I got my Ruger Mark III 22/45 Lite and suppressor, which is an awesome little gun BTW, I started looking into the red dot sights. I read a ton of reviews and forums and it came down to the Vortex and the Burris, which is what most folks were liking on this particular gun. The Vortex just seemed to have a few more options and better warranty, and less complaints about problems or customer service. And they threw in a hat too, so it was a no brainer! Hat was camo and good quality so that was a nice surprise.
The Ruger came with a picatinny rail so the Vortex was a snap to install and I was shooting the same day I got the sight. Easy and quick sight acquisition, and plenty bright for my eyes, I had no trouble finding the dot and aiming, and this was my first time using a sight like this. It was off a little but the included tool made it quick and easy to adjust for windage and elevation and I was getting nice groupings at 25 yards unsupported. I'm going to have a lot of fun plinking with this setup! Ruger Mark III 22/45 Lite with a Silencer Co Spectre II and Vortex Venom sight. Hours of fun...
