How to useStep 1: Insert left orthotic into left shoe, logo side down. Step 2: Repeat for the right orthotic. Replace insoles every six (6) months or at the first signs of wear. |
How it worksHeel pain can occur for many reasons, whether it's heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, or general overuse. All of these causes can be aggravated by the impact of each step. Dr. Scholl's Pain Relief Orthotics for Heel provide a combination of cushioning and arch support to protect from the jarring shock of each step. |
Heel spursVisible via X-ray and protruding as much as half an inch, heel spurs themselves aren’t often very painful, but they can cause heel pain and can be present with other conditions such as plantar fasciitis, and Achilles Tendinitis.* *Not a medical diagnosis. For information purposes only. If you have diabetes, poor blood circulation, or fragile skin, or symptoms are severe or persist, consult your podiatrist or physician before using this product. |
Plantar fasciitisPlantar Fasciitis is the pain and inflammation at the point where the thin band of tissues called the plantar fascia connects your heel bone to your toes. This tissue helps support the bones of your arch and absorbs some of the strain you put on your feet, whether from running or other kinds of vigorous exercise. Pain that is commonly intense when getting out of bed is a common sign of Plantar Fasciitis, a particular type of heel pain.* *Not a medical diagnosis. For information purposes only. If you have diabetes, poor blood circulation, or fragile skin, or symptoms are severe or persist, consult your podiatrist or physician before using this product. |

It was after moving into my new apartment that I realized I needed something for my feet ASAP. The next day after moving I was in so much pain. I actually had to call off work because I couldn’t make it to my door without a sharp pain in my heel/arch. Went to the doctor and was told my symptoms were a lot similar to that of plantar fasciitis. Again, had to lose weight and get some good insoles.
But being a broke college student I didn’t have a lot of money! I bought some cheap insoles from the dollar store and those hardly helped. Couldn’t exercise properly because after 10 minutes of doing anything with my feet, I couldn’t anymore. Then I found these at Walmart and OH MY GOD.
These were perfect!! They’re not too hard on your feet like the tough plastic insoles, but are still firm and give you some nice arch support relieving pressure/pain from other spots. It did take a bit to get used to them (my feet were REALLY flat) but after a week or two I couldn’t imagine leaving the house without them! They fit in my converse, vans, running shoes, and boots perfectly. They give me a “bounce” to my step and have completely took my foot pain away. They allowed me to start working out more, go for longer walks (super helpful on a college campus!) and overall be more active.
The only complaint i have is because they are Gel, they do wear out kind of fast. I have to buy a new pair every 2-3 months to keep the arch support. I don’t mind tho, as these have really helped my flat feet. I think these would also be a great transitioning sole for people who had never worn insoles before or have too much pain from the regular plastic ones. Overall great insole, have also recommended it to my mom and she loves it too!
When used in closed toed shoes like tennis shoes they stay in place for the most part but they do slide around in other types of shoes like boots, sperry. Likely depends on the bottom of the shoe. When they slide it can be painful to step down onto, the ridge on a sore heel is not fun.
I'm leaving a three-star review for Dr. Scholl's Heel Pain Relief Orthotics. While these orthotics are clinically proven to relieve plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and general heel aggravation for many users, unfortunately, they did not alleviate my symptoms as expected.
What sets these orthotics apart is their reputation for providing relief to individuals suffering from heel-related issues. They are designed to provide support and cushioning to the heel, helping to reduce pain and discomfort associated with conditions such as plantar fasciitis and heel spurs.
However, despite following the recommended usage instructions, I did not experience significant improvement in my symptoms. While the orthotics provided some level of comfort and support, they did not deliver the relief I was hoping for.
It's essential to note that individual experiences may vary when using orthotic inserts, as the effectiveness can depend on factors such as the severity of the condition and the individual's foot mechanics.
Overall, while the Dr. Scholl's Heel Pain Relief Orthotics may work well for some users, they did not meet my expectations in terms of symptom relief. If you're considering trying these orthotics, it's essential to manage your expectations and consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice. ⭐⭐⭐
