I have purchased two of these exact monitors over the past few years; one in February 2019 and one in February 2020. These are/were a little pricey so I had to save. One monitor mostly works great. The second monitor I purchased more recently (Feb 2020) has had a host of problems. Within approximately 6 months the monitor reverted itself back into a factory/floor display mode. This mode locks the frame-rate to 60 fps preventing the user from making any settings adjustments and any time the monitor is idle it cycles through a super bright pixel test (red, blue, green, white, repeat). After some internet deep dives for a few days I finally found a factory code to reset this feature (Gameplus button twice, up on the 5-way switch twice, X-button twice) only to find out that some models have a hard error and stay in this mode even after toggling it "off" in factory settings. Frustrating. After approximately a year I noticed a distinct color difference between the two monitors. A short while later I noticed static lines appearing on the screen when a solid color background was displayed and more recently I have notice a large bar across the bottom of the screen that is displaying significant visual static. Finally, both monitors (even the good one) stopped displaying the ROG logo onto the desk almost immediately. I don't know if this was a hard internal error, or if the little LED lights just burnt out super fast. At this point, it is the least of my concerns. Don't buy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Amazing monitor, but in less than two years of usage, I have already encountered a display issue...
Reviewed in Canada on January 24, 2022
I have had this Monitor since May 2020 and I have been using it about daily ever since. I have been more than happy with its performance and picture quality. My only general complaint at the time is now much wastes space the stand takes up and how you can't remove the stand support from the monitor itself (I haven't looked this up, but I have attempted to remove it. For the last month, I have been noticing white shadows appearing on the monitor and it is getting progressively worse over time. I have attached an picture i took that show's some of the white shadows, but more are noticeable in person. I have tested my PC with other monitors and yet only this monitor has such an ongoing issue. Additionally, I have tried to use an HDMI cord rather than the DP I have always used, but the issue remains the same. I'm really disappointed with this outcome as I have treated my monitor with the upmost care and considering that this is a ~$1000 monitor that couldn't even last me 2 years. I'd like to say that this is most likely an exceptional case, but after reading the reviews again this time around, I can see that issues appear to be common on this monitor.
