I am very happy but of course they could have easily made the basket detachable but who cares since I am just leaving it on. Great scooter and recommend it.
I have had it for 5 days now. It is better than all the other All Terrain Knee Walkers. The double back pneumatic tires ensure your toes do not get hit a wheel unlike the other 3 wheel versions.
The price is totally cool!! It is so light weight I easily lift it with one hand. The dual quick release mechanisms allow it to be so compact that it fits in the back seat of a sedan.
I recommended this unit to my local VA Mecial Center!!
PROS:
-great price. The other all-terrain scooters are generally more pricey
- 4 wheels (as opposed to 3 plus the safety wheel) are easier to maneuver and stay stable if you don't plan to be on these for years to learn how to operate the 3-wheel ones
-the knee pad cushion is much thicker and more comfortable than others
-great turning radius
-the basket is something I didn't think I needed but has been a life-saver
-the wheels are AMAZING both indoors and out with ease on carpet, through doorways, on uneven bricks and concrete outdoors, on grass, etc.
-easy to assemble-- I put it together myself, while sitting on the couch.
-rubber handle-bars are way more comfortable than other scooters' plastic ones and don't cause pain in the hands.
CONS:
-poor instructions for attaching basket; I had to figure out where the extra plate goes through trial and error
-the tire pump that comes with it broke if literally all the places it possibly could have on my second use; you WILL have to buy a separate one. The one that comes with it is also impossible to remove after pumping the tires
-the entire thing squeaks in just about every place and no amount of WD-40 has solved it. I'm at a loss as I have watched just about every video and read blogs and can't find a solution to this.
-the thing that holds the brake lines at the base of the handle-bar pole doesn't stay closed. This isn't a big deal and can be solved by zip-locks, but nonetheless.
-wish it came in all black or silver, as opposed to just bright blue and hot pink.
Overall, I would highly recommend this item. It has really improved my quality of life during this difficult time.
The scooter arrived very well packed (see pictures). Came with a hand held air pump (which was a pleasant surprise). It was very easy to unfold it and put it together. The air stems on all 4 wheels are bent outward in order to make it easy to add air. The instructions say to do about 20 strokes with the air pump for the larger front wheels and 12 for the smaller rear wheels. The tires themselves say to inflate to 40 PSI on the front and 35 PSI on the rear. I found that 20 strokes only inflated the tires to 20 PSI, which in my opinion, was too low. I ended up using an electric air pump to inflate to the proper pressure. Note, that due to the small tire size and high pressure, just the act of checking tire pressure can reduce it significantly. So it is best to use an inflator with a build in tire pressure gauge.
The scooter itself is nice and comfortable in parking lots and bumpy sidewalks/walkways. It is somewhat large and weighs about 21 lbs. without the basket (which I did not bother to install). It fits with no problem in the back of an SUV (I lay it down - wheels to the front, handlebar to the rear of the car). It is a little heavy and awkward to lift and remove from the car. We do not fold it so I can't speak to that. My wife found it a little stiff to steer at first but as she is using it it is loosening up. The seat/knee support is thick and so far, comfortable. I think it is a quality product that works as advertised. Can't ask for much more.
