It's a budget-friendly, entry-level throne. I purchased this for my 8 year old, 70 lb beginner drummer. I find it odd that people have pictures with $1000+ drum kits but decide to buy a budget throne. He's an entry-level drummer, so I bought an entry-level throne. If he was a hard-core, seasoned drummer I'd have purchased something more appropriate for his skill level and investment into drumming. If he sticks with it and this falls apart, I'll upgrade it.
I'm 6'-1", 200 lbs and tried it after putting it together. It seemed solid and didn't wobble but I won't be the one pounding on drums for 3 hours. I sat on it at a higher height, then lowered it to my son's height. Using basic logic, I definitely would not suggest this seat for a "larger" adult and would not suggest this seat for a serious drummer performing gigs or long sessions. Like with most things, buy a product to fit your use-case. Just as you don't buy a Fisher-Price hammer to build houses with, you shouldn't buy an entry-level, light-weight seat if you're 250 lbs or a professional musician.
That being said, I see this as a good "first throne" for younger kids and even teens. For its price-point, it's comfortable "enough" and sturdy "enough".
NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are not well written or give poor reviews based on not reading directions, failing to read the product details prior to purchasing or someone's inexperience or lack of skill. Writing valuable reviews helps pay it forward.
I’ll be buying another (i have 2 drumsets) and will be recommending the unit and brand to my bandmates.
(Please see my attached photos and video to understand the wobble issue.)
The wing bolt that locks the threaded height adjustment shaft in place is screwed in too far when these arrive. The top part, which it screws into, is actually a sleeve that slides down over the black coated part below it. It isn't meant to just sit on top of it. The wobble comes from having all of your weight on that threaded wing bolt. (And will potentially ruin the threads over time.)
Back it out enough to properly seat the sleeve over the black part, then tighten it back down. Problem solved.
EDIT: 2.5 weeks later. So the part that I mentioned before can begin to loosen up if you're moving around a lot, and the wobble can come back. The problem is that the silver part is supposed to lock down the threaded shaft to hold it still, but the silver part moves as well, and moving parts can't very well lock down another part to keep it from moving.
It could benefit from being anchored in place with some sort of bolt, set screw, or metal dowel pin.
It's still usable, just not as solid as I'd like. I find myself tightening everything back down at least once every time I play. But if you buy cheap, you get cheap I suppose. The thing is, it is "relatively" cheap, not "actually" cheap.
Second Update: I noticed that the metal part of the legs has now pierced through all 3 rubber feet. The rubber is too soft. (Not to mention nit reeks to high heaven).
I play on carpet, so it wasn't apparent at first, but this is a risk if you are playing on a surface, such as hardwood, that could be damaged easily. I'm dropping my rating again due to this. This throne is quickly be owing not worth the money. In hindsight, I'd spend a little more money and get something nicer and just avoid the headaches completely.

My bum was getting sore but having used this the last few gigs its just great, no more sore but.
It's a bigger seat than I have previously used but it works well and have just had to swap around my flight cases to accommodate it.
