This is not cheap junk. I expected to be able to recognize cost cutting features and there's not a lot. The ONLY problem I've found is the attachment point of the bars, if you crank the bolts down tight you may crack the orange paint at the lip of the metal, this is due to the handle bars bending too shallowly. Other than that, this machine is solid from top to bottom. Mine started on the first pull.
Fuel shutoff is up+down On, side-to-side off.
The metal of the casement is nice and thick, it's a heavy unit. The box it comes in does the job of holding it, but just barely. Expect to need 2 people to move it and open it.
If you're new to walk behind leaf blowers, the rubber meets the road at the discharge chute angle. The black hood that is adjustable at the discharge chute is for directing the air flow. If you aim it more upwards, the airflow will be very powerful and blow leaves 15 to 20 feet. If you turn it more downwards, the airflow will be aimed at the ground more, causing the leaves to move less. Fine tuning this adjustment as you go is how you create nice piles.
There is an adjustment knob on the carburetor setup that will allow you to crank up the RPM a little more, if you should choose to. I didn't find it necessary. Be warned that the engine is not designed to run faster than the preset, so you may void warranty or harm the engine.
You'll need a 12mm wrench and a 13mm socket/ratchet to assemble the front wheel and handle bars, and a pair of pliers to install the clips for the back wheels. 5w-30 oil is fine, fill it until it comes back out at you. Like any brand new engine, let it run an hour or so on your first use. Don't just fire it up to test it and then shut it off and store it. Go use it. I did my entire front yard today in an hour. Worked beautifully.
Keep your manuals for parts purchases. Since the EPA banned adjustable small engine carbs, they've gotten super cheap and very finicky. I don't expect failure any time soon but I also know it's the weak point of any small engine produced in the last 15 years.
You'll struggle to find a comparable blower for the money. Truly. The ones you see chained to trees for crazy money are near death, and these units fit the bill very nicely.

See the pictures I uploaded..due to a crack in the impeller area where the shaft goes through from a material failure, the impeller began to walk the shaft and the blades began hitting the hardware of the shield.
Because of this, I cannot even repair it. I've tried to locate a new impeller but so far no luck. If I cannot find one, that makes this a one year use, and I would caution anyone considering it. The method of failure makes this extremely unsafe as even with the shield you risk shrapnel exiting this unit and could cause harm.
Wheels: Due to the size and the single front, you will have situations where when in softer ground/ heavier brush or uneven ground you will wrestle the blower around to maneuver it. Not a deal breaker, just know unless you are on pavement you will get a good workout while moving this around. impossible but not impossible but can be frustrating.
Inlets: I don't know if this is even something to complain about as I can only assume it's the nature of the beast and all the blowers like this do it. While using in heavier leaf clearing, obviously leaves can blow all around and will eventually cover the inlet in the front with obviously noticeable output degradation. simple fix by just using your hand to sweep them off but can get frustrating.

It got a lot of bad reviews. Yes it’s hard to maneuver, it’s a heavy motor on wheels but it does heavy work. Yes you have to take wheel off and tip machine to drain oil (omg) I’m surprised you change your own oil if that’s a problem. It calls for weird euro 15w-40 oil or something like that I used the same 10w30 full syn I use in mowers. I changed after using all fall maybe 15hrs-Looked like honey still. Has cold started on the 1st pull every time (if I remember to turn ign switch to on)
If you are trying to figure out which leaf blower to buy, get a backpack. If you need to add big power cheap to your arsenal, this is the way to go
Got it ready with gas and oil, pulled half a pull and it fired up
Tried in my yard where i had a about 16 in deep leaves in a area about 40' by 20'
I blew the leaves into the woods with no trouble, made maybe 4 passes to completely clear them.
I am going to hook it to my lawn tractor and pull it to clear the fall leaves
Really solid and well built
